Top 5: Books to Film 2017

We are a little more than halfway through 2017 and I’ve only read one book this year, so I’ve been on the lookout for great books to read.  Gravitating towards ones that will be made into upcoming movies/shows gives me a deadline; which is the push I need.  Sometimes I read before watching and other times watching the story inspires me to pick up the book.  Either way is great and there are always merits to having both the written and visual experience.  Here’s 5 books to check out this summer and watch their adaptations later this year.

  • The Dark Tower-Stephen King
    • Roland Deschain, the last Gunslinger, is locked in an eternal battle with the Man in Black. The Gunslinger must prevent the Man in Black from toppling the Dark Tower, the key that holds the universe together. With the fate of worlds at stake, two men collide in the ultimate battle between good and evil.
